Donna Felker Cody earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from Central Michigan University in 2006. She also holds an M.S. in Audiology from Utah State University, and a B.S. in Rehabilitation, with a Specialization in Interpreting for the Deaf, from the University of Arizona.
Before beginning private practice in Corona del Mar, Donna was a Senior Staff Audiologist with the world-renowned House Ear Clinic, where she worked for 16 years. Donna served as Co-Director of the Clinic’s Los Angeles Audiology Department, and opened and managed the Encino Hearing Aid Dispensary satellite. Her duties included hearing aid fitting and diagnostic audiologic testing, performing interoperative monitoring, overseeing operations of her department, training student audiologists, and participating in joint clinical research studies with the House Ear Institute.
During her tenure with the House Clinic, Donna appeared on ABC TV’s Extreme Makeover, where she fitted a participant from Louisiana with hearing aids. She also made a special 48-hour home visit to Saudi Arabia to consult with the King about his new hearing aids.
Donna has worn hearing aids for most of her adult life, which gives her an intimate understanding of the issues hearing aid wearer’s face… and how to address them.
She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, the American-Speech-Hearing-Association, the American Auditory Society, and a Member of the American Tinnitus Association.
Donna Felker Cody serves as a Board Member and Secretary for the Newport Beach Sunrise Rotary Club, and previously served on the Board of Directors of the Corona del Mar Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of the Newport Beach Oasis Senior Center, where she performs volunteer hearing screenings each May.
In her off hours, Donna is an avid reader, enjoys working out at the gym, plays piano and likes to see an occasional “art house” film.
